November 27 (SeeNews) - Greek pharmaceuticals company Alapis has set up a wholly owned subsidiary in Albania with an initial capital of 15,000 euro ($22,308), Alapis said.
Tirana-based Veterinpharma Albania will produce and merchandise chemicals, medicines and agricultural products for human and veterinary use, Alapis said in a statement posted on its website.
Alapis (www.veterin.gr) was formed in June by merging pharmaceuticals firm Elpharma, veterinary and pet accessories company Veterin, organic products manufacturer EBIK and Lamda Detergent, which produces detergents and cosmetics for multinational. Alapis is involved in the manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceuticals and parapharmaceutical products, veterinary pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents and organic products.
Elsewehere in southeastern Europe Alapis has 100%-owned subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia and Romania.
