June 5 (SeeNews) - Greece registered the EU's second-largest annual decline in the industrial producer price index (PPI) in April, at 13.1%, Eurostat said on Monday.
In contrast, Slovenia posted the highest annual increase in industrial PPI among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) for which data is available, at 13.3%, above the average EU-wide rise of 2.3%, the bloc's statistical office said in a data release.
On a monthly comparison basis, Greece and Slovenia were the only countries among EU states in SEE to mark a growth in industrial producer prices in April, at 0.1%.
Bulgaria, on the other hand, recorded the largest monthly drop in industrial PPI in the region, at 3.2%. Industrial producer prices in the EU overall went down by 2.9% month-on-month in April.
