November 4 (SeeNews) - Greece recorded the second-highest jobless rate in September among European Union member states for which data was available - 13.3%, after Spain's 14.6%, the EU's statistical office said.
Greece had the second highest jobless rate in the EU in June, July and August as well - 14.8%, 14.1% and 13.8% respectively, Eurostat said in a statement on Wednesday.
However, Greece also posted the EU's third-biggest year-on-year drop in jobless rate in September, by 3 percentage points.
Among the other EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), only Croatia's unemployment rate of 7.3% was above the Union's September average of 6.7%.
Slovenia's unemployment rate was the lowest among EU member states in SEE in September, at 3.9%.
