April 27 (SeeNews) - Croatia's government said it plans to seek a strategic partner for Croatia Airlines this year or next, with the aim of ensuring the future development of the flag carrier.
The government said in its National Reform Programme adopted on Thursday that Croatia Airlines can only move forward through a "a good strategic partnership".

The strategic partner will be expected to boost the airline's market share, the government noted without revealing further details.
Earlier this month, the Croatian Union of Civil Pilots (HSPP) warned the government for the second time this year that Croatia Airlines is facing severe problems, including poor business organisation which is causing it losses.
In January, the government put Croatia Airlines back on its list of strategic companies that shall not be privatised.
