November 14 (SeeNews) - Household appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] fell the most on Monday, contributing to a fall in the blue-chip SBITOP index, bourse data showed.
Gorenje's share price plunged 30.39% to a close of 6 euro ($6.4) as trading in the stock resumed after a two-day pause, bourse data indicated. Trading in Gorenje shares generated a turnover of 255,110 euro.
Gorenje was suspended from trading on Thursday and Friday as the Slovenian company announced that Japan's Panasonic Corporation had decided not to increase its 10.74% stake in the household appliances manufacturer.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, retreated 2.53% to 715.53 points on Monday, after edging down by 0.18% on Friday.
Four blue chips ended lower on Monday, two closed in a positive territory, and one closed unchanged.
The top blue-chip gainer was Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG]. The port operator's share price added 1.75% at a close of 23.2 euro. Trading in Luka Koper generated a modest turnover of 17,800 euro.
The bourse's total turnover jumped to 1.4 million euro from 488,190 euro on Friday.
Fuel retailer Petrol generated the largest turnover on Monday, 484,130 euro. Petrol's share price closed unchanged.
