LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 10 (SeeNews) – Slovenian home appliances manufacturer Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] said it is actively seeking a strategic partner to support its long-term growth and development.
The selected strategic partner could also become a shareholder in Gorenje, the home appliances maker said in a Ljubljana bourse filing on Thursday.
Gorenje also said it will mandate a renowned international financial advisor to support its activities.
These activities should be concluded by the end of the third quarter of 2018, it added.
The company hopes that with the help of a strategic partner it can pursue the growth of business, strengthen brand power, access prime distribution channels, accelerate product innovation and business digitalisation.
"The globalisation and consolidation trends which have been characterizing the white good industry over the last years, have further stimulated the group to proactively search for available strategic partnership opportunities," it said.
In November last year, Japan's Panasonic decided not to increase its stake in Gorenje from 10.74%.
