March 8 (SeeNews) - Glavbolgarstroy Prefab, a unit of Bulgarian civil engineering company Glavbolgarstroy, invested around 12 million levs ($6.54 million/6.14 million euro) in the construction of a plant for precast reinforced concrete structures, a company spokesperson told SeeNews on Wednesday.
The plant, located near the city of Pazardzhik, has a capacity of between 80,000 and 140,000 sq m of built-up area per year and has created 63 jobs, Glavbolgarstroy said in a press release on Tuesday.
The investment includes equipment such as formwork systems from Italy-based manufacturer Progress Group, a fully automated concrete batching plant with a production capacity of 43 cubic meters per hour and a laboratory to carry out daily control.
The precast reinforced concrete produced at the factory will be suitable for the construction of industrial, logistics, public and commercial facilities, Glavbolgarstroy added.
Glavbolgarstroy Prefab's activities relate to the research, design, production, delivery and installation of concrete elements, along with facade panels, roofing and insulation.
