ZAGREB (Croatia), July 5 (SeeNews) - German wind farms developer and operator wpd and Croatia's civil engineering company Tekol Teri have set up a joint venture to develop a wind farm of up to 90 MW near the Croatian coastal town of Novi Vinodolski, the town council said.
The Krmpote wind farm in the Rusevo Krmpotsko settlement will spread on an area of 27 square kilometers and is expected to generate around 270,000 MWh of clean energy per year, the town council said in a press release on Thursday.
The new wind farm will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on electricity imports.
With the guaranteed fee to the local government set at 0.01 kuna per KWh of delivered energy, Novi Vinodolski will receive revenue of about 2.7 million kuna ($411,050/364,954 euro) per year once the new wind farm comes on stream.
