June 22 (SeeNews) - German wind turbine manufacturer Senvion said on Thursday it has signed a contract for the installation and commissioning of 21 turbines at the Alibunar wind farm in Serbia, under construction by Belgian renewable energy group Elicio.
The installation of the turbines, of the MM100 model and with a combined capacity of 42 MW, is planned to take place in the first half of 2018, Senvion said in a statement.

Alibunar is located close to the Malibunar wind farm of Elicio, where four Senvion MM100 turbines will be installed in the second half of this year for another project. Senvion will take care of the servicing over a period of 15 years for both projects, Senvion said.

The Alibunar wind farm will be located in 60 km north of Belgrade. The 21 turbines with a hub height of 100 meters and rated output of 2 MW each will together produce enough energy to power around 27,600 households on average per year, Senvion said.
