June 1 (SeeNews) - German automotive metal components manufacturer Koenig Metall plans to launch production activities in Ivanjica, in central Serbia, in June, Serbian media reported.
"In the first phase, 120 workers will be employed and by expanding production, conditions will be created for additional hirings," regional news agency RINA quoted Ivanjica mayor, Zoran Lazovic, as saying on Saturday.

The German company has leased a production hall in the Senjak industrial zone which will be connected to the natural gas grid in June.
Koenig Metall operates factories in the U.S., Canada, Russia, Portugal, Poland, Italy and Germany. It produces sheet metal, tubes and pipes to customer specification for the metal and electronics industry, automotive, silencer and airbag industry, for mechanical engineering and various other sectors.
