PRISTINA (Kosovo), December 18 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's environment and spatial planning ministry said it signed a 3.4 million euro ($3.99 million) loan agreement with German development bank KfW to finance projects in the waste management sector.
The loan will be used to support municipalities to increase by 12.1% the waste collection service coverage, raise by 12.3% the income and reduce by 47.3% the illegal waste discharges, the environment ministry said in a press release on Friday.
On December 11, Kosovo's finance ministry said it signed a 12.95 million euro loan agreement with the German government to support youth employment focusing on the reintegration of deported asylum seekers, primary education, waste management and to promote competition in the private sector in rural areas.
