October 13 (SeeNews) - German semiconductor producer Infineon Technologies expanded its presence in Romania by opening an R&D centre in Iulius Group's mixed-use Palas Iasi complex, the real estate developer announced.
The new centre is part of the United Business Center 3 office building in the Palas Iasi complex and will host specialists in the development of semiconductors for safer, greener, and smarter cars, Iulius Group said in a press release on Wednesday.

The R&D office spreads on an area of 600 sq m, which Infineon plans to expand in the future.
Infineon technologies entered the local market in 2005 when it opened an R&D centre in Bucharest and has grown to over 500 engineers in Romania.
Employing over 50,280 worldwide, Infineon booked over 11.1 billion euro ($10.67 billion) in revenues over fiscal year 2021 ending September 30.
Iulius Group's United Business Center office network spreads on an area of over 182,000 sq m and includes 14 class A office buildings located in Iasi, Timisoara, and Bucharest.
Palas Campus, Iulius Group's newest office development, is set to open early next year and constitutes the largest class A office building in Romania, with a fully leased area of over 60,000 sq m.
