August 22 (SeeNews) - Germany-based intercity bus service FlixBus has expanded its operations in Bulgaria through the launch of new routes from Sofia and the second-biggest city of Plovdiv to several European destinations, FlixBus Bulgaria said on Thursday.
Earlier this month, FlixBus started to operate 10 direct night bus routes from Sofia and Plovdiv - to Zagreb, Ljubljana, Villach, Munich and Salzburg, FlixBus Bulgaria told SeeNews in an e-mailed statement.
The company entered the Bulgarian market in 2018 through the launch of its first six daily services from Bulgaria - five from Sofia to Vienna, Bucharest, Budapest, Szeged and Kecskemet, as well as a single route from Bulgaria's Pleven to Bucharest.
FlixBus, founded in 2013, operates a bus network serving more than 2,000 routes in 28 countries in Europe.
