April 6 (SeeNews) - German car parts manufacturer Draexlmaier said it has opened a new production plant in Kumanovo, in the northern part of North Macedonia, its second in the country.
The value of the investment is in the "double-digit million" range, the company said in a statement e-mailed to SeeNews, without specifying further.
The company employs over 700 people in the new plant and plans to increase the headcount, Draexlmaier Macedonia director general Lucas Miringer said in the statement.
Draexlmaier opened its first production plant in North Macedonia, in the central city of Kavadarci, in 2012. The plant is manufacturing electrical system sets for the automotive industry.
Worldwide, Draexlmaier operates more than 65 factories in over 20 countries. The company employs more than 75,000 people.
