July 23 (SeeNews) - Albania said on Friday it has granted German company ATX International Tirana a 35-year concession to develop an industrial park project at a cost of 17 million euro ($21.7 million).
The company will build the industrial park at the Adriatic port of Shengjin, in the Lezhe area, some 50 kilometres northeast of the capital Tirana, the country's Economy Ministry said in a statement.
It will open up to 3,000 jobs at the 3.2 hectare park, including 200 permanent positions, Economy Minister Dritan Prifti said in the statement.
Albania's government launched a couple of years ago an initiative for the development of industrial parks, aiming to boost economic growth.
