June 3 (SeeNews) - Germany's Slam Group plans to invest 2 million levs ($1.15 million/1 million euro) in a clothing plant in Vidin, in northwestern Bulgaria, the CEO of the company's Bulgarian unit said on Wednesday.
The investment will include the reconstruction of the plant's building, formerly an electronic equipment store, which the company has rented for 10 years with an option to buy it, and the purchase of new equipment, Vyara Maneva told SeeNews over the phone.
The plant will initially employ 150, due to start work in July, as this number could reach 600 in next five years, she added.
The plant will manufacture men's shirts for international fashion brands.
