June 9 (SeeNews) - The German development agency, GIZ, said it launched on Thursday the second stage of its Sustainable Rural Development programme co-financed by the Swiss Development Cooperation, with the aim to increase competitiveness and raise income in the rural areas of Albania.
The second stage will run until 2026, seeking to build an enabling policy environment, establish innovations in agriculture and rural tourism and replicate them across the market, a programme notice on GIZ website shows.
On Thursday, GIZ reopened a call for consultants to support the implementation of their agritourism development framework, which provides subsidies and funding for eligible local agriculture enterprises, with bids being admitted not later than June 16.
