BUCHAREST (Romania), December 5 (SeeNews) – German-based renal care provider Diaverum said on Monday it has acquired Clinica Dialmed, which provides dialysis services in Romania, in a bid to strengthen its position in eastern Europe.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Clinica Dialmed is a member of Romanian integrated medical services provider Polisano Group.
Clinica Dialmed has more than 850 patients in nine clinics located in Bucharest, Sibiu, Medias, Targu Jiu, Miercurea Ciuc, Odorheiu Secuiesc and Bistrita, Diaverum said in a statement.
The buyer was assisted in the transaction by legal advisor DLA Piper and financial advisor KPMG.
Camelia Cucu is the newly appointed managing director of Diaverum Romania.
Diaverum offers renal replacement treatments as well as preventive and early stage renal care. It has 6,500 employees and 20,000 patients in 17 countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia.
