BELGRADE (Serbia), July 5 (SeeNews) – Gazprom Neft's aviation fuel operator, Gazpromneft-Aero, has signed an agreement to supply fuel to Air France aircraft servicing regular flights at the Nikola Tesla airport in Serbia's Belgrade, it said.
The total volume of aviation fuel to be supplied under the contract will amount to about 2,000 tonnes per year, Gazpromneft-Aero said in a statement on Thursday.
Gazpromneft-Aero will refuel Air France's aircraft in Belgrade in cooperation with Serbian oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft in Serbia, the Russian company said.
"The development of further partnerships with Air France at airports in Russia and abroad is consistent with the objectives of Gazprom Neft-Aero's long-term strategy to strengthen its position among the world's largest suppliers of jet fuel," Vladimir Yegorov, director general of Gazpromneft-Aero, said in the statement.
Air France launched a daily service linking Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to Belgrade on April 1. The service is operated with an Airbus A319 or A320 aircraft.
