April 24 (SeeNews) - Garanti Bank Romania said on Tuesday it has granted a 9.3 million lei ($2.4 million/ 2 million euro) investment loan and working capital facility to local healthcare network Anima, part of MedLife Group [BSE:M].
Anima will use the funds for the development of its network of clinics, Garanti Bank said in a press release.
“We believe in the development potential of the Romanian healthcare system and we strive to bring our contribution by financing viable projects in this sector," Garanti Bank Romania deputy general manager, Cagri Memisoglu, said.
Anima Speciality Medical Services has six clinics and a laboratory and over 200 employees.
MedLife acquired the Anima clinics network in May last year. Blue-chip MedLife shares traded 1.52% higher at 33.3 lei on the BVB as at 1248 CET on Tuesday.
Garanti Bank is part of the financial-banking group Garanti Romania, which also includes Garanti Leasing and Garanti Consumer Finance.
Garanti Bank is held by Turkiye Garanti Bankasi AS (TGB), Turkey’s second largest private bank.
