March 7 (SeeNews) - Game developer Sega Europe, part of Japanese multinational video game developer Sega, said on Tuesday it has acquired Sofia-based game developing studio Crytek Black Sea from Germany's Crytek.
Crytek Black Sea, which brings together 60 developers based in Sofia, is being renamed to Creative Assembly Sofia, Sega Europe said in a statement.

Creative Assembly Sofia will develop projects exclusively for London-based Creative Assembly and will be an invaluable asset, given the many still unannounced titles that are in development, Juеrgen Post, зresident and chief operating officer at SEGA Europe, said.
Crytek Black Sea is the successor of game developer Black Sea Studios, which was established back in 2001. It was acquired by Crytek in 2008.
Creative Assembly is a British video game developer established in 1987 and based in the West Sussex town of Horsham. In 2005, Creative Assembly was acquired by Sega.
