August 17 (SeeNews) - Trading in the shares of two companies generated 80% of the turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday, bourse data showed.
Total trading turnover on the Sofia bourse rose to 4.24 million levs ($4.2 million/3.6 million euro) on Thursday from 2.7 million levs
on Wednesday.
Over 1.5 million shares of Galata Investment traded in four block deals, at an average price of 1.5 levs per share, generating a turnover of 2.28 million levs.
Nearly 414,000 shares of real estate investment company Regala Invest [BUL:RGL] traded in two block deals at an average price of 2.6 levs per share, worth a combined 1.1 million levs.
Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF) [BUL:5BU] rose the most among blue chips on Thursday, as it closed 1.21% higher at 2.419 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index decreased 0.23% to 729.19 points, after rising 0.22% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, fell by 0.34% to 138.22 points, after adding 0.16% on Thursday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, increased 0.15% to 117.69 points on Thursday. On Wednesday, the index closed 0.39% higher.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell by 0.26% to 564.59 points, after increasing 0.40% on Wednesday.
Industrial group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue-chip company on Thursday, as 135,339 of the company shares changed hands at an average price of 1.927 levs.
Hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] led the blue-chip decliners led the blue-chip decliners, closing 2.30% lower at 8.403 levs.
