September 28 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher on Tuesday, supported by gains in food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR], shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] and hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX advanced 0.43% to end at 1,987.72 points.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top 10 companies from the Crobex in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went up 0.47% to finish at 1,216.17 points.
Podravka was, again, the most traded stock with a turnover of 2.6 million kuna ($405,000/347,000 euro). Its shares went up 1.95% to end at 628 kuna.
Atlantska Plovidba was the second most liquid share on Tuesday with a turnover of 1.6 million kuna. Its shares rose 2.87% to finish at 502 kuna.
Valamar Riviera's shares added 1.01% to end at 30 kuna in a turnover of 1.0 million kuna.
The biggest gainer on Tuesday was shipping company Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL]. Its share price surged 19.79% to 115 kuna as 36 shares changed hands.
The ZSE's turnover fell to 11.5 million kuna from 16.3 million kuna on Monday.
