November 21 (SeeNews) - Turnover on the Ljubljana stock exchange (LJSE) rose on Monday as fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] generated more than half of it, stock exchange data indicated.
The bourse's total turnover increased to 2.14 million euro from 1.6 million euro on Friday, bourse data showed.
Petrol generated a turnover of 1.4 million euro ($1.5 million), closing at 320 euro, up 0.95%.
On Friday the fuel retailer said it submitted to the registration authority the contract on merger by acquisition it had signed with Ljubljana-based Energetika Crnomelj.
Also on Friday it said that its nine-month consolidated net profit rose 18% to 57.2 million euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks, closed 0.46% higher at 714.66 points, after rising 0.97% on Friday.
Three blue-chip companies closed higher on Monday, three ended lower, and one was unchanged.
Re-insurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] increased the most on Monday, adding 1.72% to 13.6 euro. It, however, generated a turnover of only 13,090 euro.
Port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] led the blue-chip decliners, dropping 0.87% to 22.8 euro. The port operator generated a modest turnover of 77,120 euro.
