November 22 (SeeNews) - The main share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher on Monday on further gains in shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] as investors were bullish on shipping sector stocks, bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX closed at 2,007.94 points, up 0.69% from Friday, ZSE data showed.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top 10 Crobex components in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, advanced 0.54% to finish at 1,228.90 points.
Like on Friday, Atlantska Plovidba generated the biggest daily turnover on the ZSE, of 1.1 million kuna ($165,000/146,000 euro). Its shares surged 8.68% to finish at 413 kuna on Monday, following a 6.74% rise to 380 kuna on Friday.
The shares of two other shipping companies, Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] and Alpha Adriatic [ZSE:ULPL], too posted strong rains. Jadroplov rose 13.78% to 58 kuna, while Alpha Adriatic appreciated 5.00% to 105 kuna.
Shares of power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] dropped 9.09% to end at 80 kuna in a turnover of 99,000 in absence of news from the company.
The ZSE's total turnover edged up to 5.1 million kuna on Monday, from 5.0 million kuna on Friday.
