April 28 (SeeNews) - French camping equipment maker Trigano said the country's competition authority has cleared its acquisition of Slovenian camper van and caravan producer Adria Mobil.
"Following an examination of the effects of the transaction on the construction and distribution of leisure accommodation vehicles (camper vans, caravans and mobile homes), the Autorité cleared the operation which does not raise competition issues," Trigano said in a statement on Thursday.

Trigano is mostly active in the construction and distribution of leisure accommodation vehicles in Western Europe. It produces and markets its leisure accommodation vehicles under different brands via a network of independent distributors.
Adria Mobil is also specialised in construction and distribution of leisure accommodation vehicles in Europe.
The French authority decided that the acquisition has the effect of bringing the first camper van constructors in France closer to the fifth market player and enabling Trigano to add brands to its portfolio of camper vans. However, it noted that the operation was not liable to have anti-competitive effects, Trigano said.
In December, Trigano announced it launched talks to acquire Adria Mobil, as part of its strategy for external growth on the leisure vehicle and trailers market.
