July 1 (SeeNews) - France's Vinci Airports has appointed Francois Berisot as CEO of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport in Serbia, the airport operator said.
Nicolas Brousse, who has been serving as interim CEO of the airport since December 2018, will keep his chief technical officer (CTO) position, Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport said in a statement on Friday.
Berisot brings to Serbia extensive knowledge of airport operations gained through multiple relevant roles and experience, most recently as the deputy managing director and chief financial officer (CFO) of TAV Construction in Turkey, the airport operator said.
Prior to that, Berisot served as business development project director at Vinci Airports, where he was responsible for supervising major airport projects. Before joining Vinci Airports, he had held several operational positions, including as chief operating officer of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.
Vinci Airports officially took over the management of Belgrade airport in December. In March 2018, the French company signed a 25-year concession contract covering the airport’s financing, operation, maintenance, extension and upgrade.
The Belgrade airport serviced record-high 5.641 million passengers in 2018, up 5.4% year-on-year.
