LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 5 (SeeNews) - French camping equipment maker Trigano said on Thursday it started talks to acquire Slovenian camper van and caravan producer Adria Group, as part of its strategy for external growth on the leisure vehicle and trailers market.
Trigano entered into exclusive negotiations to purchase 99.08% of the capital of Slovenian holding company Protej d.o.o., the owner of Adria's parent ACH, the French group said in a statement.
"Financing of this acquisition will be ensured by already available credit facilities granted by Trigano’s banking pool," Trigano said.
Adria manufactures and markets motorhomes, caravans and mobile homes. Its current operational profitability is comparable to that of
Trigano, the French company said.
Adria employs around 1,500 people and achieved a turnover close to 350 million euro ($367.7 million) in 2016.
