BUCHAREST (Romania), February 15 (SeeNews) – French hospitality group Accor said on Monday that it will revamp the Cubix hotel in Brasov, central Romania, by the end of this year.
Accor has signed a franchise agreement with local company N&C Turism which owns the hotel, it said in a press release.
The hotel will be renovated and reopened under the Mercure brand.
"This partnership with Accor marks an important point in the development of our company," N&C Turism co-owner Daniel Chivu said.
Accor is a French multinational hospitality company that owns, manages and franchises over 5,000 hotels, resorts and vacation properties in 110 countries. Currently, Accor operates fifteen hotels in Romania under the ibis, Mercure, Pullman and Novotel brands, according to data published on its website.
In July 2020, the group said that it aims to open up to 50 hotels under several brands in the coming years in Romania and that it is actively looking for opportunities in the market.
