Brainient will continue to operate as an independent business unit within Teads, rebranded as Teads Studio.
Brainient was founded in 2006 by Romanians Emi Gal and Andrei Baragan and currently has offices in London, Bucharest, Paris and Moscow.
It provides creative technology for building interactive ads across video, mobile, display and Connected TV.
Founded in 2011, Teads has a team of over 450 employees, 100 of which are in the innovation team, across 27 global offices.
Last month, Teads raised $47 million (41.8 million euro) in debt financing from a bank syndicate including BNP Paribas, Bank of China, HSBC, Banque Palatine and BPI. The cash will be used to acquire ad tech companies and to fund the company’s expansion into the Asian market, Teads said at the time.
