July 2 (SeeNews) - French marketing and communications company Publicis Groupe said on Friday it appointed Tomas Lauko as CEO for the region of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and promoted Maria Tudor to chief operating officer for the region.
At the same time, Paula Sobieszek was appointed business development director for Publicis Groupe CEE, the company said in a statement.
Based out of Poland, Lauko will be charged with overseeing Publicis Groupe's operations across 15 markets in the CEE region, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
The appointment of Lauko reinforces the group's commitment to CEE, a dynamic region with multiple areas of opportunities and unique talent pool, Steve King, chief operating officer at Publicis Groupe said in the statement.
Last year, Bulgaria's competition authority approved Dutch-based Publicis Groupe Holdings' bid to take over the 24% interest in Bulgarian-based advertising and public relations company Publicis it did not already own. Publicis Groupe Holdings is part of Publicis Groupe.
In 2013, Groupe acquired Romanian media communications agency Zenith, which was previously an affiliate agency.
