January 17 (SeeNews) - Greek durable goods provider Fourlis Group said that it plans to open 120 Holland&Barrett stores over time in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece after it entered into a strategic regional partnership with the UK-based health and wellness retailer.
Both physical stores and a Holland&Barrett website will launch simultaneously in 2022 in the respective markets, the group said in a press release last week.
Fourlis' objective is to have a leading role within the health and wellness sector based on the strategic partnership agreement.
"We have had a really positive response from customers in all of our overseas markets, so we are confident our stores in Southeast Europe will prove to be just as popular," Alex Dower, commercial director at Holland&Barrett, said in the press release.
Holland&Barrett, established in 1870, has a retail presence of more than 1,600 stores across 18 countries worldwide, including over 800 in the UK and Ireland, as well as a rapidly expanding e-commerce business. The company's portfolio includes brands for vitamins, supplements, specialist food, sports nutrition, and ethical beauty.
Fourlis Group operates stores for brands like IKEA and Intersport in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey.
