November 14 (SeeNews) - Four Bulgarian companies or tie-ups have tabled bids in a public tender for the design and construction of a viaduct on a bypass road near Rudozem with an indicative value of 4.3 million levs ($2.3 million/2.2 million euro), the country's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said.
The bidders include two consortia, namely Obedinenie Srednogortsi Land, which comprises BG Land Co, Via Pro Engineering and AJ Consult, and Viastroy, which is made up of Galchev Engineering and Geostroy, RIA said in a press release on Friday.
The other two parties bidding for the works are ORS-Infrastructure and ISA 2000.
The tender winner will have 60 days for the technical design and planning, and seven months to complete the construction works.
The viaduct will be located on the Srednogortsi-Rudozem secondary road, which is a connection to the municipal town of Smolyan. The bypass road will facilitate travel to a planned Bulgarian-Greek border control point between Rudozem and Xanthi.
