September 3 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in July reached 79,881, compared with just 9,374 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Foreign tourists spent 201,910 overnights in Bosnia in July, up from 22,826 in July 2020, the statistical office said in a statement.
The total number of visitors staying at accommodation establishments in Bosnia grew to 132,029 in July 2021 from 47,524 in July 2020.
In July, total tourist overnights totalled 335,398, compared with 134,916 in the same month a year earlier.
Visitors from the UAE accounted for 20.9% of all foreign tourist overnights spent in Bosnia in July, followed by visitors from Saudi Arabia, 11.7% and Serbia, 9.6%.
Last year, Bosnia attracted only 196,000 foreign tourists, down 84% in comparison with 2019.
