November 30 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in October went up to 186,655, an increase of 83% on the year, the country's statistical office reported on Wednesday.
Foreign tourist arrivals totalled 4.1 million in the first ten months of 2022, up 51% compared with the same period a year earlier, the data shows.
Bosnia was Serbia's biggest feeder market in the ten months through October with 122,811 tourists, up 33% on the year. Citizens of Turkey followed with 105,350, up 117%. Visitors from Germany came in third, up 90% to 94,911.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 34% on the year to 1.9 million in the January-October period, taking the total number of tourists to 3.3 million, up 54%.
In 2022, the total number of foreign nationals who visited Serbia jumped 89% year-on-year, reaching 14.8 million.
