September 27 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic attracted 31,530 foreign tourists in August, up 16% year-on-year, the entity's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Foreign tourists spent 64,331overnights in the Serb Republic in August, which represents an annual increase of 14%, the Serb Republic's statistical office said in a statement.
Most foreign tourists who visited the Serb Republic in August came from Serbia (8,460, down 9.5%), followed by tourists from Turkey (4,182, up 149.5%), and 3,006 tourists from Croatia (up 34.3%).
The total number of tourists rose 0.3% on the year to 50,052 in August. The overall number of overnights fell 1.9% to 118,224.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
