BELGRADE (Serbia), August 1 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in June grew 28.2% on the year, reaching 145,057, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 26.8% year-on-year, to 299,725 in June, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first six months of 2017, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 17.5% year-on-year to 634,353.
The number of Bosnian tourists who visited Serbia in June was the highest, 10,209, up 2.2% on the year. Turkish citizens followed, up 15% to 7,918. Visitors from Slovenia came third, up 14% to 7,866.
The number of domestic tourists increased 13.6% on the year to 149,375 in June, taking the total number of tourists to 294,432, up 16.5%.
