BELGRADE (Serbia), June 13 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in April grew 26% on the year, reaching 118,262, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 28.1% year-on-year, to 245,647 in April, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first four months of 2017, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 15.1% year-on-year to 352,691.
The number of Bulgarian tourists who visited Serbia in April was the highest, 9,438, up 29.4% on the year. Bosnian citizens followed, up 10.9% to 8,311. Visitors from Slovenia came third, up 5.7% to 7,893.
The number of domestic tourists increased 13.6% on the year to 146,621 in April, taking the total number of tourists to 264,883, up 18.8%.
