BELGRADE (Serbia), August 31 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in July grew 15.1% on the year to 205,112, statistical office data showed on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 15.5% year-on-year, to 434,535 in July, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first seven months of 2018, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 13.9% year-on-year to 925,058, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 14.4% to 2,011,904.
Turkey was Serbia's biggest feeder market in July, with 20,201 tourists, up 0.1% on the year. German citizens followed, up 16.0% to 12,951. Visitors from Poland came third, up 22.6% to 11,333.
The number of domestic tourists increased 7.8% on the year to 165,385 in July, taking the total number of tourists to 370,497, up 11.7%.
