BELGRADE (Serbia), July 31 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in June grew 13.4% on the year to 164,491, statistical office data showed on Tuesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 13.7% year-on-year, to 340,830 in June, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first half of 2018, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 13.5% year-on-year to 719,946, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 14.1% to 1,577,369.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was Serbia's biggest feeder market in June, with 13,061 tourists, up 27.9% on the year. Chinese citizens followed, up 69.1% to 11,788. Visitors from Slovenia came third, up 15% to 9,048.
The number of domestic tourists increased 9.8% on the year to 164,032 in June, taking the total number of tourists to 328,523, up 11.6%.
