BELGRADE (Serbia), November 30 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in October grew 12.1% on the year to 153,215, statistical office data showed on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 10.3% year-on-year, to 310,687 in October, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first ten months of 2018, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 14.5% year-on-year to 1,479,565, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 11.3% to 2,976,070.
China was Serbia's biggest feeder market in October, with 14,687 tourists, up 108.7% on the year. Bosnian citizens followed, up 9.5% to 13,537. Visitors from Croatia came third, up 16.6% to 12,120.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 3.2% on the year to 149,458 in October, taking the total number of tourists to 302,673, up 7.5%.
