November 11 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 69,633 in September, compared with 36,670 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 140,008 in September, from 84,730 a year earlier, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in September, 16.1% came from Turkey, 10.9% from Serbia and 6.7% from Poland.
Domestic tourists numbered 34,154 in September, up from 31,908 in the same month of 2021, as they spent 81,919 overnights, up from 80,756 a year earlier.
