July 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 17,527 in May, up from just 183 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 41,204 in May 2021 from 2,744 in May 2020, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in May, 19.9% came from Serbia, 8.2% from Kosovo and 7.4% from Turkey.
Domestic tourists numbered 18,993 in May, up from 655 in May 2020, as they spent 38,209 overnights, up from 2,202 a year earlier.
