November 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 36,670 in September, up from just 7,323 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 84,730 in September 2021 from 17,954 in September 2020, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in September, 10.7% came from Poland, 10.5% from Turkey and 10.4% from Serbia.
Domestic tourists numbered 31,908 in September, down from 36,990 in September 2020, as they spent 80,756 overnights, down from 99,164 a year earlier.
