December 13 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 31,728 in October, up from just 8,653 in the same month last year, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 69,925 in October 2021 from 19,673 in October 2020, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in October, 15% came from Turkey, 9.3% from Germany and 9% from Greece.
Domestic tourists numbered 22,100 in October, down from 25,276 in October 2020, as they spent 54,294 overnights, down from 60,939 a year earlier.
