June 10 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in April more than quadrupled to 63,326 from 14,189 in the like period of last year, the country's statistical office said.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in April increased to 72,203 from 18,827, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Tourist overnights more grew to 199,774 from 28,257 in April 2021.
Visitors from Germany accounted for 17.7% of all overnights in April, followed by tourists from Slovenia with a 15.4% share, Albania with 10.1%, France with 6.7%, the United Kingdom with 5.3% and Kosovo with 3.9%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 83.3% of all overnight stays, followed by capital Podgorica with 11.9%, mountain resorts with 2.9% as well as other tourist resorts with 1.9%.
