July 1 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in May rose 8.1% on the year to 94,297, data from the country's statistics office showed.
The total number of tourists in the country in May increased by an annual 5% to 104,964, the office said in a statement.
Tourist overnights in May totalled 453,314, which is 3.6% more than a year earlier.
Visitors from Russia accounted for 23.6% of all overnights in May, followed by nationals from Serbia, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Germany, Kosovo and Albania.
In terms of overnight stays by type of accommodation, seaside resorts were most popular in May with a 92.8% share.
