October 31 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in September rose 16.4% on the year to 116,411, data from the country's statistical office showed on Friday.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in September increased by an annual 14.9% to 129,706, the office said in a statement.
Tourist overnights in September totalled 557,484, up 5.7% year-on-year.
Visitors from Russia accounted for 13.1% of all overnights in September, followed by tourists from Serbia (8.7%), France (7.4%), Germany (5.3%), Poland (5.3%), Turkey (4.8%), the United Kingdom (4.8%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (3.5%), Belgium (2.2%), Croatia (2.2%), Romania (2.1%) and Italy (2.1%).
Seaside resorts attracted 90.0% of all tourists in September.
