August 2 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in June more than doubled to 128,418 from 60,196 in the like period of last year, the country's statistical office said.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in June increased to 146,457 from 69,923, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Tourist overnights grew to 549,865 from 277,467 in June 2021.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 24.1% of all overnights in June, followed by tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina with a 8.8% share, Germany with 7.2%, France with 6.1%, and United Kingdom with 6.0%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 90.0% of all overnight stays, followed by capital Podgorica with 6.3%, mountain resorts with 2.3% as well as other resorts with 1.5%.
