September 1 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in July increased to 187,087 from 154,285 in the same month of last year, the country's statistical office said.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in July increased to 206,303 from 172,906, the statistical office said in a statement on Wednesday.
Total tourist overnights grew to 950,900 from 810,865 in July 2021, with overnights spent by foreign tourists accounting for 90% of all.
Visitors from Serbia spent 30% of all overnights in July, followed by tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina with a 9.5% share, Germany with 5.3%, France with 4.6%, and United Kingdom and Poland with 4.0% each.
Seaside resorts accounted for 92.2% of all overnights, followed by capital Podgorica with 4.3%, mountain resorts with 2.0% and other resorts with 1.4%.
